Material Modelling had allowed me to become more hands on with my architecture course, although being the 3rd modelmaking related subject that I had partaken in, I found the course extremely informative and a challenge.
Below, are a series of images which articulate my design, which was to remodel my kitchen. the initial construction was made of boxboard, while the improvements were made in 3mm foamcore.
I aimed to achieve an abstract look with my model, by not only reshaping the exterior cladding of the house, but also by improving the storage within the kitchen, as well as creating a very unorthodox birds nest style roof, which seemed to capture most people.
